This Privacy Policy explains what information Tiqeet collects, why, and how it's used.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Tiqeet, we may collect:

• Account info: name, email, password (hashed), and optionally your WhatsApp number, profile photo, and username.
• Optional profile info: country and birth year (used only for anonymized audience insights, and only if you choose to add them), plus interests and bio if you set up an attendee profile.
• Event and registration data: events you create or register for, ticket purchases, and check-in status.
• Payment data: processed directly by our payment providers (Paystack, Flutterwave, Stripe). We do not store your card details.
• Communications: messages sent through our WhatsApp integration, and inbound replies.
• Usage data: standard technical data like IP address and browser type, for security and analytics.

2. How we use it

• To operate your account, process registrations, and deliver tickets and reminders.
• To let organizers manage their events and communicate with their attendees.
• To generate aggregated, anonymized audience insights (e.g. "40% of attendees are 25-34"): these never expose individual users' identities to third parties.
• To detect fraud and keep the platform secure.

3. Who we share it with

Event organizers see the registration details of people who register for their events (name, email, and any info you provide at checkout). We share data with payment providers to process transactions, and with WhatsApp/Meta to deliver messages you've opted into. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Your choices

• Country and birth year are optional and can be added, changed, or removed any time from your profile.
• You can opt out of WhatsApp messages by replying STOP to any message.
• You can request account deletion at any time from your profile settings or by emailing us.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, signed webhook payloads) to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.

8. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication, CSRF security, and checkout processing. With your consent, we also use analytical cookies to measure platform performance and improve event discovery. You can view or adjust your preferences at any time via our Cookie Preferences panel.
